Natasha Noel will be furthering her massage education this coming September to bring Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy to SLOCO Massage! This unique modality provides an incredible deep tissue massage unlike no other. Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy is administered using the therapist’s feet. The continuous deep tissue pressure delivered by using feet covers much larger areas at once than if the therapist used her hands. The foot is broad and makes the compression smooth and sumptuous not bony or prodding like using an elbow, thumb or massage tool. You’ll feel like you received a 2 hour deep tissue massage in about 40 minutes. You’ll also experience relieve from chronic inflammation faster than that of a normal massage.

The original western barefoot bar massage technique using deep tissue/compression effleurage strokes that glide over the body. Movements are combined with centrifugal and centripetal directions. Specific strokes create a structural change in chronic soft tissue damage and provide deep relaxation.

Be sure to check back soon so you can book your appointment and experience it for yourself!

Students training to become massage therapists, are often encouraged by instructors to work for a spa before opening up their own practice. After studying the beneficial effects of massage therapy, Natasha Noel realized that her outlook on this healing art was not in line with the practices of most spas. So, despite the advice of her instructors, Natasha founded SLOCO Massage in 2010, right after graduating from the California Holistic Institute.
