Get Relief from Jaw Pain with Specialized Massage

As a sufferer from jaw pain herself, Natasha specializes in sharing special techniques that have helped relieve jaw pain for many of her clients as well as herself.

TMJ is short for the temporomandibular joint which is where the upper and lower jaw meet. Within that ball and socket joint, there is a disc sandwiched between it.

The temporomandibular joints are composed of muscles, tendons, and bones all of which contribute to the smooth operation of the TMJ. When the muscles are relaxed and balanced, both jaw joints should open and close without pain.

TMJ disorders usually occur due to unbalanced activity, spasm, or overuse of the jaw muscles. TMJ can be caused by stress, grinding of the teeth, habitual gum chewing, nail biting and traumatic injuries and can lead to neck and shoulder stiffness, headaches, ear pain, bite problems, clicking sounds, and locked jaws.

Massage therapy can help you regain balance and relax those tight jaw muscles! Our massage therapists will not only help you manage this pain, but also teach you releases and exercises to make sure you can keep your jaw in check.
