Thai Massage in San Luis Obispo

Developed in Thailand Thai massage is a modality or system of massage and manipulation. Known as one of the many intricate parts of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) or Eastern Medicine, Thai massage is traditionally performed on a mat instead of a table as used in Swedish and other Western Medicine modalities. Also different than most Western modalities Thai massage is performed with the recipient wearing loose fitting clothing while being positioned in yoga-like positions during the course of the massage, although, deep static and rhythmic pressures form the core of the massage.

Recognized for it’s deep and sometimes intense yet therapeutic approach, Thai massage is not recommended for those with low pain tolerances.
