lymphatic drainage

The Ballancer Pro acts like a lymphatic drainage massage by using a gentle, wave-like pressure to increase circulation throughout the body and lymph nodes. This can lead to a reduction in fluid retention, better skin health, improved sleep, and improved immune function.

This FDA-approved system can be used for both aesthetic and therapeutic purposes, especially for pre- and post-op lymphatic drainage.

Pairs well with Express Infrared Sauana Sessions + Whole Body Detox services.

Benefits of Lymphatic Drainage

Your lymphatic system is responsible for removing excess fluid, waste, and toxins. There are hundreds of lymph nodes in throughout body. They filter substances that travel through the lymphatic fluid and contain white blood cells that help the body fight infection and disease. When lymph nodes swell or become blocked, it can make it difficult for immune cells to circulate. If the lymphatic system is working poorly, this can lead to swelling and severe disease within the body.

This service is great for anyone with a sluggish lymphatic system, anyone who is active and needs help with recovery, or even for those looking to speed up healing post-op.

Detoxification

Lymphatic drainage helps to flush out excess fluid and waste, including damaged fat cells. This can lead to less fluid retention, bloating, and even boost your body’s ability to shed unwanted fat. The combination between a service like Cryo T-Shock and Ballancer Pro is great for killing and excreting fat cells.

What to Expect

Depending on the area you’re looking to treat, you’ll be helped into the Ballancer Pro Pants or Pro Jacket. The garment will then be attached to an air-compression device programmed to apply exactly the right amount of pressure into all or a combination of the 24 individual but overlapping air chambers.

Once the treatment starts, the gradual and gentle inflation of the garment will provide a smooth, flowing massage over the entire treated area, providing a relaxing experience. When the treatment is complete, the garment will automatically deflate and you’ll emerge feeling lighter and refreshed.

Maximize Results

Before Your Session
We recommend that you arrive wearing comfortable clothing, preferably nothing with metal or sharp edges as the suit will be compressing onto your skin. We will provide hygienic liners for you.

Recommended Frequency
Lymphatic drainage has long-term results if the treatment is repeated regularly. A minimum of six sessions within a few weeks can be beneficial, however 12 sessions is highly recommended. If preparing for surgery, it’s important to do lymphatic drainage both before and after surgery. There should be 24-48 hours between sessions to give the lymphatic system time to “condition.”

After Your Session
Hydration is key! Make sure to drink plenty of water in order to facilitate circulation and aid in your body’s natural detoxification process.

Considerations

We don’t recommended using Ballancer Pro if you have any of these conditions:

  • Ischemic vascular disease, including pain at rest and gangrene.
  • Uncontrolled congestive heart failure or unstable cardiac disease.
  • Known or suspected deep-vein thrombosis.
  • Infected skin or an infected open wound.

FAQs

What is the difference betwen Normatec Compression Therapy and Ballancer Pro?

Although the Ballancer Pro and Normatec Compression may have similarities, they are both beneficial for their own reasons. Normatec uses a 5-chamber system to help improve blood flow and circulation in a particular area. The Ballancer Pro has 24 chambers and evenly distributes pressure from the legs all the way up to the abdomen. This allows lymph to move up toward the thoracic duct (your body’s largest lymphatic vessel), which ensures the flushing of toxins, excess fluids, and metabolic waste.

Normatec Compression is great for those looking to recover faster and increase blood flow, whereas those looking to boost their lymphatic system would benefit from the Ballancer Pro.

Can Ballancer Pro be used in place of a manual lymphatic drainage massage?

Yes! This device is a great alternative to manual lymphatic drainage. The wave-like motion mimics that of a massage and the pressure can even be adjusted to fit your needs.

How fast will I see results?

You may see the short-term benefits in as little as one session! This can include pain relief, reduction in fluid retention, and improved energy. However, the best and more long-term results happen with repeated sessions.

What areas can be treated?

There are two different attachments depending on the area you want to focus on. The Ballancer Pro Pants treat the lower abdomen, buttocks, hips, thighs and entire lower leg. The Ballancer Pro Jacket treats the upper abdomen, arms and back.

What does the Ballancer Pro feel like?

The Ballancer Pro is very relaxing! The light pressure and wave-like movement is very similar to a massage. Those who have done a session have even reported falling asleep!

How long is a session?

Each session is tailored to your needs, so the time may vary. However, generally if you’re only focusing on the lower body, the session is 40 mintes. For upper body, the session is 20 minutes. For full body, the session is 60 minutes. The lower and upper body must be treated one at a time.
